Day 1

Vienna- Schonbrunn Palace & concert

Upon arrival in Vienna, take a transfer to your hotel.
Get ready to see one of the Vienna’s most visited attractions - Schönbrunn Palace. Used as a summer residence by the Hufburg, one of Austria’s richest families, from the 18th century until 1918, the palace has 1,441 rooms in total. With only 40 rooms to the public (which is enough for one afternoon). Along with lavishly decorated rooms within the palace to look at, the palace also has well kept gardens to relax in and also a striking fountain at the rear of the palace. No visit to the Austrian capital would be complete without paying the palace a visit.

In evening Schonbrunn concert starts at 2030 hrs. This very professionally performed classical concert takes place in the Orangerie of Schonbrunn Palace.

Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 2

Vienna – City Sightseeing Tour

After a hearty breakfast, start your day with Vienna city tour which will introduce you to the most important sights of the Austrian capital. As you move around the famous 'Ringstrasse', Vienna's main boulevard, we pass by the State Opera, the Museums of Fine Art and Natural History, the Parliament building, the Burgtheater (National Theatre), the City Hall and the University. Then drive along the Danube Canal and pass by Hundertwasser's 'Kunsthaus' and the Prater Park with its Giant Ferris Wheel. We return to the city centre, passing by Belvedere Palace, where you will have the opportunity to end your tour, or choose to continue to the State Opera House, where the tour ends. Spend the later part of the day exploring on your own.
Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 3

Vienna - Get out of the city

When visiting a city for a few days you should always manage to get out of the city centre for one full day. For the whole day make your way to World Heritage Listed Wachau Valley, a 36km stretch of the Danube Valley between Melk and Krems an der Donau.

If you are full of energy, you can take advantage of the various outdoor activities which you can take part in. Hiking, cycling and water sports can all be done in and around the valley, and if you are not feeling energetic enough, the stunning scenery in the valley will leave you astounded.

Both the towns, Melk and Krems, are worth stopping in for a few hours before returning to the city that night. Melk’s biggest draw card is its stunning abbey called Stift Melk. Dating back over a thousand years ago, it is open to the public and guided tours lasting an hour can be done. The latter of the two towns is surrounded by vineyards and has an array of old cobbled streets to wind through and museums to visit.
